Award winning online accountancy firm Accountant Online has announced their plans to triple their existing workforce over the next four years, creating 100 new jobs.
The company said the new jobs will be in the accountancy and technology fields with ancillary staff also being hired to bring the total workforce to 150 by early 2026. They currently have 51 employees based in several locations including Dublin, Derry, Donegal and other remote working areas.
Accountant Online offers financial and business services to companies primarily in the tech, software and consulting sectors. The Donegal company, which is the largest online accountancy firm in the country, was an early advocate of the remote working model, even prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. The company continues to offer all staff the chance to work remotely.
The company was established in 2015 by Founder and CEO, Larissa Feeney, now has over 2,000 clients and has won multiple prestigious awards including the 'Practice of the Year 2020'.
The latest figures show that Accountant Online has significantly exceeded its growth predictions (45% increase in turnover during the covid-19 pandemic due to the emerging importance of online accountants) and a turnover of €2.1 million over the last financial year (the company is on track to achieve turnover of €3 million this year. The company is predicting a turnover by €10 million by its year end in 2026.
Investment in technology is a priority for Accountant online and as a result, they have been able to utilize cutting-edge technologies to stay ahead in their field by using Automation and AI to systemise processes which allows them to spend more time and energy working strategically and effectively with clients.
CEO Larissa Feeney said "Accountant Online has been growing steadily and we are delighted to be announcing the next phase of our development with 100 jobs over the next few years. When I set up the company, the accountancy industry was still at a very traditional stage and, while there has been a lot of digital transformation in the industry, there is still a lot of room for clients to benefit from further innovation and digitalisation."
