After the launch of “Donegal Remote Working Strategy for Business” by Donegal County Council back in June, a webinar will be taking place this Thursday (29th July) from 12:00 - 13:30 PM to showcase the newly launched strategy and the advanced digital infrastructure available throughout the region. We will also hear from a diverse panel of contributors on the positive impact working remotely from locations such as Donegal has had on their work.

Sally Anne Sherry is General Counsel of Bartra, an international real estate company headquartered in Dublin, and is a founding member and secretary of the Donegal Dublin Business Network (the DDBN). The DDBN was established in January 2017 to encourage Donegal business people based in Dublin to network, refer business and to share contacts with each other.
Many DDBN members and their businesses are looking at opportunities to work remotely from Donegal, whether that is for the summer months or on a long term basis, so the new Donegal Remote Working for Business Strategy is timely for show-casing what Donegal has to offer for all of our diaspora in Dublin and across the world.
Anne Marie Conlon is Head of Economic Development with Donegal County Council and will introduce the new Donegal Remote Working for Business Strategy which aims to promote Donegal as a great location for remote working.
Donegal County Council is the first local authority in Ireland to launch a Remote Working Strategy that will see the county making the most of the benefits that the growth in remote working is bringing to Donegal. The strategy presents a new framework that will see future Council activities aligned to support the development of the emerging remote working opportunities.
Brian Kelly is VP of Engineering at Flipdish, an Irish software company that makes it easy, fast, and affordable for restaurants to offer online ordering.
Brian has worked in software for over 20 years, and has led remote engineering groups at a number of technology firms focused on cybersecurity, retail, and integration solutions.
A native of Dublin, he spent most of his career in Boston before returning to Ireland to live in Donegal and work with high-growth Irish tech firms.
Míchéal is a Development Officer in the Enterprise and Employment department of Údarás na Gaeltachta. He is also Manager of the gteic@Gaoth Dobhair digital hub and works closely with the gteic national network that is being developed throughout the seven Gaeltacht regions throughout Ireland.
As part of his responsibilities in the gteic network, Mícheál has been promoting remote working in the Gaeltacht for over three years to provide opportunities to the Gaeltacht Diaspora to relocate home and to enable people living in the Gaeltacht to work in high-quality job positions from their native area.”
Lance Feaver has worked remotely in Donegal for the past six years as a Town Planning Consultant for a District Council in New Zealand. Lance relocated with his wife to Ireland for family reasons and the opportunity arose to work remotely as a contractor.
Alison McGonagle is Marketing & Project Officer at WestBIC. Alison has experience in funding application support and in particular supporting innovative companies across a broad range of industry sectors including ICT, manufacturing, medtech, agtech and international services to apply for Competitive Start Funding (CSF).
Alison has also worked closely with SME’s providing support with business plans, and pitching advice and has been involved in a number of transnational projects aimed at developing companies to scale internationally.
