Wild Shores – A celebration of Ireland’s foodie Northwest Coast

The Wild Shores Food and Drink Festival, featuring fantastic food experiences in Ireland’s Northwest

A series of foodie events will showcase local chefs, award-winning restaurants, and artisanal producers for a celebration of flavour and creativity.

Featured events include the Sligo Oyster Experience with Aisling Hunter Kelly, followed by a fun evening of traditional music and the Lisnamulligan Farm food truck at the 51 Main Street Pub in Bundoran.

There are Soda bread Demonstrations by the Donegal Wild Atlantic Flavours duo, Cindy and Sian in Dunfanaghy, and the Crolly Whiskey Distillery will host a tour and a unique presentation on Irish whiskey-flavoured chocolate.

On the Saturday, Sunday and Monday, three of Donegal’s top chefs will host an evening at their restaurants. Garry Anderson will offer a tasting menu at Anderson’s Boathouse Restaurant, Killybegs on Saturday.

Brian O’Donnell welcomes foodies to the award-winning Danny Minnie’s restaurant in Annagry on Sunday, and Darren Fergus and his team are doing a contemporary social eating menu on Bank Holiday Monday, at The Selkie Restaurant in Tullaghan, County Leitrim

Each event will be attended by a group of chefs, culinary students and foodies from the USA. The Wild Shores Ireland Tour is hosted by The Institute of Study Abroad Ireland, and the aim of this program is to promote the excellent produce, food preparation and culinary skill of the north west to international audiences.
