To mark the birth of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, on Thursday 19th March at 7pm, a Solemn Mass (Ordinary Form) will be celebrated in Latin at St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny. The Conwal Singers shall sing Palestrina’s Missa Aeterna Christi Munera - the setting of the prayers and texts of the Mass as Palestrina composed them over 500 years ago. All welcome.
An afternoon concert “Harmonic Dialogues” shall feature The Conwal Singers, The Donagh Choir, Donegal Chamber Orchestra and Flautist Amy Gillen on Sunday 22nd March in Conwal Parish Church at 3pm. Music by Florence Price, Vivaldi, Bach, Knight and Mozart. Admission €10 payable at the door.
