LYIT's Department of Tourism Announce 9 Newly Developed Programmes

Letterkenny Institute of Technology’s (LYIT) Department of Tourism unit has today announced 9 newly developed part-time programmes available to prospective students commencing in September of this year.

These programmes represent a fantastic opportunity for any individuals who are looking to get into the tourism and hospitality sector with a wide range of courses focusing within the areas of marketing, culinary skills and arts, hotel management and change management and much more.

The courses sit between level 6-8 within the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) with culinary and guiding courses based within the LYIT, Killybegs campus and the remainder 100% online.

The newly designed courses are also available to individuals currently in employment, offering the perfect opportunity for students to put their theory and learning’s gained from their course into practice within their current employment.

The courses are also very affordable for prospective students with 5 of the courses offered free of charge and all courses available for under €1,500. Courses are funded by bodies including Sprinboard+, July Job Stimulus, Donegal LEO and Donegal County Council.
