The Assembly of European Regions (AER) Summer Academy 2022 takes place in Donegal, hosted by Donegal County Council and Udarás na Gaeltachta from 29th August until 1st September 2022.
The Summer Academy 2022 is also supported by the Communicating Europe Initiative funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs.

The Summer Academy will be co-hosted by Donegal County Council and Udarás na Gaeltachta.
The venue is the Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Donegal, which fosters one of the most progressive learning environments in Ireland.
This year we celebrate the European Year of Youth 2022 and Ireland's 50th Anniversary of membership of the EU. The theme this year focuses on ‘A Europe for the Next Generation’. The event will be youth focused and themed around key topics such as climate change, skills and education, cross-border and transnational cohesion and reconciliation, remote working and entrepreneurship.
The Summer Academy features an exciting and captivating line up of speakers at our plenary conference. Member regions will host interesting and informative workshops where we can get to the root of youth issues with lively discussion.
