The cards are truly unique as due to the nature of lino printing, each card will naturally have small differences where the ink may be patchy. Each one is a unique piece of Art. This makes them stand out in comparison to mass produced cards. The Irish language is incredibly important to us as it is part of who we are and we feel that it is so important to promote it in any way that we can.
The landscape prints are created using the 'reduction ' method of lino printing. This is when the design is drawn onto the lino plate and some of the design I carved away. Ink is then rolled over it and printed.
The plate is carved into again and the second colour printed over the first. This process is continued until all colours are complete. Once the print is complete, the process cannot be duplicated, meaning there will never be another version or any other copies of the print made.
