Donegal 2040 is inviting expressions of interest from those interested in seeking to lease commercial space at Island House, Killybegs, Co. Donegal.
Island House is a state-of-the-art new build facility strategically located on Killybegs Harbour (F94 HY8V), Ireland’s premier fisheries harbour and offers over 350m² of newly developed office space.
Featuring high-quality finishes, high-speed fibre broadband, and spectacular views of the Wild Atlantic Way, the property comprises of a ground floor Tourism Office (tenant in situ) and two floors of open-plan office space, along with external terrace on the second floor overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Island House forms part of the Killybegs Town Centre Regeneration Project which has been funded by Donegal County Council and the Department of Rural and Community Development under the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund and Project Ireland 2040, and in co-operation with the Department of Agriculture, Food & Marine.
The building, designed by McCabe Architects, Donegal Town, and constructed by McDermott & Trearty Construction Ltd., Letterkenny, incorporates Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) standards and achieves BER ratings of A2 for the available space for lease.
Donegal 2040, is a designated activity company owned by Donegal County Council and set up to promote economic development and investment and to manage the operation of key commercial facilities. Michael Ó hÉanaigh, Chairperson of Donegal 2040, said:
