Acquired by Vertiv in November 2021 for $1.8 billion, E&I Engineering are a global leader in the power distribution industry with four manufacturing facilities in Donegal, Ireland, Derry, N.Ireland, South Carolina, USA and Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE. From it’s European headquarters, E&I Engineering has been built on providing quality and innovative solutions for all our customers worldwide.  

E&I Engineering manufacture full power distribution systems including a MV and LV switchgear, busbar trunking, energy management systems and modular power solutions. This fully integrated power distribution system allows customers to deal with one expert supplier throughout their project.  

All manufacturing processes including sheet metal fabrication, paintwork, and punching, pressing and bending of copper & aluminium are carried out in-house. Investment in a state-of-the-art tin-plating and silver-plating plant has taken E&I engineering’s offering to the next level. 

E&I Engineering has a highly experienced and qualified team of engineers to manage every aspect of a project, from concept design, through to manufacture, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and after sales services.

Irish Pressings

Founded in 2005, Irish Pressings is owned and operated by brothers Declan and Brendan Ward.

Irish Pressings employs over 80 people at their modern production facility located Udaras na Gaeltachta‘s Gweedore Business Park, Co.Donegal, Ireland. Irish Pressings are a local company, operating globally.

Through hard-work, dedication and a commitment to quality, Irish Pressings has become a leader in the design and manufacture of press-tools, metal stampings, machining, and welded assemblies amongst other things servicing a variety of engineering industries – most notably the automotive sector – where they supply at Tier 1 and Tier 2 level to service end customers such as Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, and Honda in the UK, mainland Europe and beyond.

The company was awarded the Engineering Team of the Year Award at the Irish Manufacturing Awards in 2020 in recognition of the achievements of the company over the past number of years. Irish Pressings is strongly embedded in the west-Donegal community and provides valuable employment in an area that in many instances has been left behind economically. This commitment to the development of West-Donegal and providing opportunities for young families to stay or move there is an integral part of the Irish Pressings’ philosophy.

Zeus are a world leader in the manufacturing of fluoropolymer extrusion for the medical, aerospace, automotive, analytical, electronics, semiconductor, and environmental industries. Zeus operates mainly from bases in the US, with the exception 1 base in Letterkenny and 1 in China. Current employment levels are c.1250 worldwide.

Zeus chose Letterkenny as its European base to ensure that its European customers receive a quick turnaround and taking into consideration the quality of life that Letterkenny would offer its employees.

Flemings Steel

Since establishing as Millwrights based in St.Johnston, County Donegal in 1860 the five generations of Fleming family have been providing engineering solutions for over 150 years and now provides Roller Door, Steel and Powder Coating solutions to the Donegal and Northern Ireland markets.

The modern day company founded by James Fleming in 1985 initiated as being solely a steel and roofing distribution and trading centre for the northwest. In 1999 the Rolling Door Company (now Fleming Doors) was purchased and in 2010, Fleming Coatings was established.
