Olive Mc Govern lives on the winding Peninsula of St John's Point in South West Donegal. Inspired by the dramatic views of the ocean and mountains, she makes her Donegal Sea Pictures. They are handcrafted with seashells, coral, sea glass and sea pottery collected from Donegal shores. The background silk paper has been handmade by Olive, the vivid colours are inspired by dramatic Donegal sunsets and the ever-changing deep aqua tones on the Atlantic Ocean. The seaweed is gathered after wild Atlantic storms and is slowly dried and harvested over the winter. The 3D pictures are presented in Irish made wooden box frames. Wherever you live in the world, when you have a Donegal Sea Picture, you will have a piece of Donegal with you always.
