National AI Challenge

The National AI Challenge takes place from 23 - 31 August in 5 regions across Ireland, and ALPHA Innovation (in association with WiSAR and CoLab) is the location for anyone from the West - North West who wishes to participate.

Ireland's National AI Strategy - 'AI Here for Good' highlights that AI is set to change how we learn, work and live.

If you have great ideas, here's a one-week AI Challenge (neo hackathon) to shape your concepts into solutions or plans inspired by the philosophy of 'AI Here for Good'.

Win the chance to showcase your project to senior leaders from the likes of Boston Scientific, Fexco, Google, Jaguar Land Rover, OpenAI and 100+ experts and investors.

Teams are invited to build applications or business plans using AI tools. You will be provided access to AI Studio, ChatGPT-4o, Gemini and more for one week: 23rd to 30th August.

This event is hosted by TechIreland and Data2Sustain EDIH with support from Enterprise Ireland, Google, OpenAI and partners Code Institute, Codu, Jarvic.ai, Portershed.

Timeline:

Fri 23 Aug (Online) - Join launch evening info session online
Sat 24 Aug (In-Person @ CoLab, Letterkenny) - kickoff for West-North West participants
Mon 26-30 Aug - Teams work on their own steam
Sat 31 Aug (In-Person @ CoLab, Letterkenny) - Donegal teams gather to finalise demos and present
The expert panel select the winners
