As the oldest continually running folk and traditional music festival in Ireland, Ballyshannon once again prepares to welcome audiences to the vibrant heart of County Donegal. This year's program promises an unforgettable celebration featuring a mix of legendary acts, beloved local heroes, and exceptional traditional talent.

Headlining the 2026 festival are sensational acts including The Seeger Sessions, the legendary Frankie Gavin and DeDannan, and beloved Irish singer-songwriter Mundy. The weekend will also see electrifying performances from George Murphy and The Rising Sons, Johnny Gallagher and The Big Boxty Ceili Band, and many more.

We are incredibly proud to present a lineup that honours our rich musical heritage while bringing unparalleled energy to the town, a spokesperson for the organizing committee noted. Whether you're a lifelong traditional music fan or looking for a fantastic weekend getaway, this year’s festival has something for everyone. It's a perfect opportunity to experience the incredible hospitality and culture that makes a visit to Donegal so special.

Beyond the marquee concerts, visitors can look forward to lively pub sessions, street entertainment, and lots more happening throughout the town.
