30th Sept - 16th October 2022, South & South West Donegal

Donegal County Council initiated the Donegal Bay and Blue Stacks Festival in 2001 to provide an annual celebratory focus for the arts in the South and South West of the county, mirroring the highly successful Earagail Arts Festival in the North and North West. The Festival usually runs from late September to the end of the first week in October. It presents a rich and varied programme of contemporary, classical and traditional music, theatre, opera, carnival, visual arts, street arts, literary events, events for children – both within and outside of school – in a host of towns and villages including Ballyshannon, Bundoran, Ballybofey, Donegal, Mountcharles, Dunkineely, Killybegs, Cill Chartha, An Carraig, Gleann Choilm Cille, Ardara and Glenties.

This is the 22nd edition of this annual festival, which is presented by Donegal County Council Culture Division in partnership with a range of arts organizations, cultural venues and community groups, largely from the South and South West of the county.

Donegal Bay and Blue Stacks Festival is funded by The Arts Council and Donegal County Council. A number of events on the festival programme have also received assistance from the Donegal Local Live Performance Programme Support Scheme (Phase 4) and from the Creative Ireland Community and Creativity Programme.

Programme of Events is available in the link below.

Hard copies will also be distributed across different venues.
